INFORMATION SERVICES LIBRARIAN
North Shore Libraries – 2-year temporary contract

Here is an exciting opportunity to serve a culturally diverse community with high expectations of its Library!

North Shore Libraries require an experienced Librarian, holding a minimum library qualification of NZQA Level 6, who has a strong commitment to the delivery of high quality services, an in-depth and current knowledge of reference tools in all types of media, excellent research skills and a genuine love of reading.

Based at East Coast Bays Library and part of a dedicated senior team you will need to demonstrate staff leadership, excellent organisational skills, practical common sense and you will be responsible for training staff in relevant reference skills. You will need to be physically fit to cope with the demands of this position and adhere to occupational safety and health requirements. Your sensitivity to cultural and ethnic diversity as well as a commitment to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi is essential.

Hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm with every second Friday 10.00am – 7.00 pm.

Opportunity Knocks!!

There is a 6 month temporary entry level position available for 15 hours per week in the eLGAR Programme Office (Auckland Central City Library) for an eLGAR
Data Assistant. The role is at a similar level to a library assistant.
