News from Washington DC

The picture was taken on the 25th at the Korean War Memorial in the Mall when Stu and I did a tour of a few of the sights.

Not even slightly work-related but Stu and I had an amazing experience last night when George W Bush came to our hotel for the Press Gallery dinner. The security was unbelievable. Secret Service guys with curly earpieces just like in the movies, and huge black SUV's with tinted windows blocking the streets and all access to the hotel . There were lots of celebs and crowds of incredibly well-dressed people for an intimate dinner for about 1000. Bush, Cheney, Colin Powell and Jessica Simpson apparently. We didn't see any of them, but I did recognise some faces.
